Match report Clan Risen vs Armygeddon

Total score: CR vs AGO 492:118
Settings: Quake TF (not QW), Fullteamscore, TK on, 2x30 minutes, both rounds on CR server.
The match was delayed about 30 minutes because both teams were not complete.
Finally, all players were present and we could start off with a 6on6 at 2fort5r.
Pings were slightly worse for AGO than as for CR. While the first frags were going on,
our offense started to cap straight forward. AGO's defense seemed to concentrate on the
upper
floors, so we could infiltrate their base with the help of our medic quite easily. Soon they
increased their defense to 4 players. Their scout sometimes managed to pass our sniper
but our ramproom engi cleared these situations. After about 15 minutes our defense got out
of
work, so we started to move toward AGO's fort entrance. We never were in the need of
changing our classes, nor did we change offense or defense players.
Because of the Fullteamscore setting we weren't able to count the caps, but we capped
quite a lot I think ;-)
The second round was played at bases, and Death had to leave us, but Adonis jumped in,
although due to his strange ping (6000!) he left soon... for some reason Odin of AGO left, too, so
the teams were balanced to 5on5. We changed our defense and offense squads a little,
and A Storm changed to Hwguy in order to have a change and some fun ;-)
AGO did two early caps with a scout and a soldier, while we were still setting up our
2-player-defense (hwguy and engi). So they were leading during the first few minutes, but we
caught up in the meantime. AGO's offense tried to kill our sentry with lots of mirvs, and
the player who initially was their scout changed his class often.
In the second half of the round, AGO's defense built a sentry in their ramproom, too, so we
had quite a challenge to kill it :-)
We would like to thank AGO for the match as a fair opponent, and we are looking forward to
the
next battle :-)

Match report: CR (Clan Risen) vs DSKAG (Deutschsprachige Klingon Assault Group)
1st round (2mach1) 4on4: CR vs DSKAG 290:102
2nd round (2mach1) 4on4: CR vs DSKAG 142:76
Total score: 432:178
Settings: Fullteamscore, Teamfrags, 2x30 minutes, TK ON. Both rounds were played
at Clan Risen's server. Also, in both rounds, CR was blue and DSKAG was red, at
request of DSKAG.
The fifth player of DSKAG was missing so it was a 4on4 match. Pings were very balanced:
we had and average ping of 150 and DSKAG had an average ping of 160. Yakuza/CR was
observer during the first round, and we had another visitor as observer, Cobra/AGO.
We started capping while destroying the enemy sentry. DSKAG were trying to
cap too, and they sometimes managed to carry a flag home.
We tried to play 2 def 2 off which proved quite unstable because DSKAG played
mostly 1 def 3 off. However, there was no strict defense and offense separation in both
teams, because with 4on4 people had to switch between def and off temporarily.
No snipers were involved in this round, and there were rather few sentries on the
DSKAG side, while we had an engineer building sentries during the second half of the
first round. Poor Centaurus had connection problems, as he left and then rejoined
the match. And this on his birthday! ;-)
The second round we had a player exchange: Yakuza should play for A Storm, but
Yakuza chose to be observer again so our sniper Death could play. Unfortunately,
Death had severe ISP problems so he could join about 10 minutes after the second
round was already running. Since we could not hold for long with 3on4, Yakuza
jumped in to balance our team. We also had 4 (!) observers: Batman/DLc, Death,
Cobra/AGO and A Storm.
We had quite a good defense with Yakuza's sentry gun and dispenser which saved our
flag lots of times. But DSKAG had a strong offense, in fact, they were playing at
full offense (4 players!), pushing us into our own fort and letting almost all of the
action take place there! Sometimes Logain managed to get through, and, after several
attempts, he was able to destroy their sentry and make a few caps. Japes did a fast
homerun, too! At times DSKAG were playing with two hwguys, and they were mostly heavy
classes. Sometimes they managed to capture our flag, but not as often as during the
first round. In score, DSKAG lost the second round as well, but IMO they are the strategic
winners of this round because they besieged our fort well and made us playing
almost at full def. Well done!

As with the AGO match before, there were no ping complaints which was very pleasant.
